Yesterday, I discovered a3devries on flickr and was so amazed by her crocheted paintings (they are freeformed and flat!) that I felt an urge to paint something. It was supposed to be just background painting for some crocheted lace, but I'm not sure I'll really put fiber on all of them. Later in the evening I freeform-crocheted a golden bird. It is not finished yet; maybe I'll just use up the whole skein of yarn.
Since I'm doing this month-of-craft-thing, I should keep up with posting my craftiness... well, this is what I did on Friday:
Another friday project was the quick grocery bag (in opposition to the chain-bag I'm still working on). It is made using a 10mm hook and almost one ball of lace yarn. I'm not sure whether it is really good for shopping, though. It still waits to be tested.
On Saturday, I went and got myself crafts supplies; i.e. I drove to Boesner, the professional artist's wholesaler, and bought tons of canvas and half a liter of white acrylic paint. Here's a picture of the small ones:
So far, I used up six of them, but I have not taken pictures of the pictures yet, since they are waiting to be hung up.
Sunday happened to become ufo-day. I went for a walk and came across a fabric fair where they sold buttons, as well. So I abandoned my plan of making buttons from fimo and just bought some for my ufos. Back home, I found out I had chosen wisely with regard to size, colour and number, so I could finish my scarf and my cardigan, finally. Bugger that it already has gotten too warm to actually wear that cardigan now...
Apart from this, I finished a birthday-scarf, made two more dragons (silver and gold) and almost finished the sea horse (some tedious sewing on of glass perls is waiting there for me).
