I bought one skein of Noro Silk Garden. Before it got swallowed by my stash and never used out of awe, I started right away on it, with wristwarmers. Since I did not have more than one skein, I did not make them overly large, so I was left with about a third of the yarn. This went into a little fat dragon. Now, all I have left is about six centimetres of yarn. Pretty good measure. :)
Since I'm doing this month-of-craft-thing, I should keep up with posting my craftiness... well, this is what I did on Friday:
Another friday project was the quick grocery bag (in opposition to the chain-bag I'm still working on). It is made using a 10mm hook and almost one ball of lace yarn. I'm not sure whether it is really good for shopping, though. It still waits to be tested.
On Saturday, I went and got myself crafts supplies; i.e. I drove to Boesner, the professional artist's wholesaler, and bought tons of canvas and half a liter of white acrylic paint. Here's a picture of the small ones:
So far, I used up six of them, but I have not taken pictures of the pictures yet, since they are waiting to be hung up.
Sunday happened to become ufo-day. I went for a walk and came across a fabric fair where they sold buttons, as well. So I abandoned my plan of making buttons from fimo and just bought some for my ufos. Back home, I found out I had chosen wisely with regard to size, colour and number, so I could finish my scarf and my cardigan, finally. Bugger that it already has gotten too warm to actually wear that cardigan now...
Apart from this, I finished a birthday-scarf, made two more dragons (silver and gold) and almost finished the sea horse (some tedious sewing on of glass perls is waiting there for me).

A dragon was my first crocheted softy in aduld life, and I still really like the pattern, but now, finally, it was time to make my own. Tadaaa: this is the prototype:
It is not perfect, of course, but for a first attempt... I directly had to change the tongue, which was forked at first. I won't make the claws this way again, either. So, here is number two:
I have made a black one already, but it was too dark this morning to
take a picture. Each face turns out totally different. Maybe I should
make a pink one and sell that for Valentine's...
What have I gotten myself into? There are three swaps I have to finish by the end of the month, the swap of inspirations I started myself, and two swaps involving a dragon I still have to design... I have to write a proposal, compose an end-of-semester-test, the weekly exercises, work on the translation - why am I always jumping at the idea of swapping? *sigh*
Yesterday, I finished the body part of my crochet cardigan. I'm so happy it worked out so well. I just used one of my favorite pullovers as a blueprint, so the design looks even pretty knifty. I should write up the pattern properly before I forget what my abbreviations mean. Hm, maybe I should even post it here...
... and I'm ill. No nice relaxing holiday for me, thus, just hanging around at home. Which is relaxing, too, of course... I'm planning to write down the dragon scarf pattern today.
