I have not been doing a lot of craft posting lately, but for this project I could start again. It is an afghan, to fit into someone elses living room. It has absolutely not my colours, though I chose them. Well, at least I like my idea of the pattern. It is going to be a big motif with zigzags around. Here's the first progress photots.
Tadaaa, here it is: The first big project I really finished and like and whatnot! (Shall I mention that I'm pretty proud of it?)
My favorite group on flickr is back again. :-) Juppieduppiedoo! :-)
I'm not sure I'll come up with anything for the first week (the theme is "Waiting") and themes won't be a surprise for me anymore, because Ceci and me became co-admins and we discuss the themes, but, hah, so nice to have my favorite group running again. :-)
In case you don't know TT: Every Tuesday, a theme is posted and whenever you created something textile fitting the theme, you post it to the group. No deadlines, just fun and imagination.
Yesterday, I discovered a3devries on flickr and was so amazed by her crocheted paintings (they are freeformed and flat!) that I felt an urge to paint something. It was supposed to be just background painting for some crocheted lace, but I'm not sure I'll really put fiber on all of them. Later in the evening I freeform-crocheted a golden bird. It is not finished yet; maybe I'll just use up the whole skein of yarn.
A day late, but this is what I found in the paper:
Sowohl die geplanten Anschläge durch Kofferbomben im Juni 2006 als auch die Festnahme von drei mutmaßlichen Terroristen im Sauerland im September seien auf "Glück und ermittlerische Sorgfalt" zurückzuführen.
Süddeutsche Zeitung, 15./15.12.2007, S. 8
In English (roughly, a little shortend): Both the trolley-bomb attacks of June 2006 and the arrest of the alledged terrorist in September were due to "luck and investigative diligence".
What's your favorite thing to drink when it's cold outside?
Tea. When it is really cold outside and I want to celebrate drinking something, it is Chai the way Julka taught me. But if I'm just cold, normal tea does the trick as well.
That depends on what you think it is. ^_^ read more
